Then and Now
– Retracing the steps of the 9th Infantry Division men –
Retracing the steps of the 9th Infantry Division.
It is always interesting to see the places where the men of the 9th Infantry Division walked, fought or lived. Over the years, many places have changed. Villages consisting of a few houses turned into a small city. Specific buildings were destroyed or taken down after the war. Forest areas make it hard to identify certain spots. However, there are still many places that can be recognized. On this page I will keep adding so called “Then and Now” pictures of the 9th Infantry Division. Via my research and through collaboration with friends, I was able to locate certain locations where pictures of the 9th Infantry Division were taken, and took a picture of the same spot as it looks today. Here is an overview of several places.
You can also find special Then and Now pages dedicated to specific places through the sub menu of the Then and Now menu part.
Feel free to contact me if you have any 9th Infantry Division “Then and Now” pictures to add, and I will be happy to add them here. Enjoy the pictures.
